Salary: $77,000 - $102,000 per annum

Out client is seeking Social Workers East Maitland/Newcastle to provide crucial therapeutic services to vulnerable clients across the lifespan.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and assess behaviour management plans to achieve positive outcomes and eliminate restrictive practices for individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
  • Offer evidence-based guidance, training, and support using person-centred approaches to help individuals achieve personal goals while maintaining autonomy
  • Provide counselling and therapy services across all stages of life
  • Advise on legislative requirements related to restrictive practices and assist providers in meeting implementation and reporting standards
  • Collaborate with government and other agencies, fostering professional networks and delivering required outcome reports
  • Assist the Clinical Coordinator and Therapeutic Services General Manager in meeting external and internal reporting obligations to ensure compliance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master of Social Work and eligibility to register with the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Demonstrated experienced working effectively with clients experiencing disability, mental health or behavioural challenges
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice
  • Ability to produce clear and concise written communication and effective verbal communication
  • Current Working With Children’s Check and Driver’s License
