Service Coordinator

Location: Regional NSW
Area: Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter
Worktype: Full Time
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per annum

Our Client ,a leading not for profit organisation is currently recruiting for an experienced support coordinator to join their team .  This role requires a leader who can role model and empower the team to deliver an excellent service to clients and families. A hands on role working with long term customers and their families . 

This role will involve
  • Training and mentoring a small team of committed support workers 
  • Developing and delivering programs and services for customers
  • Work with other agencies , community groups and stakeholders
  • Maintain lines of communication with parents ,families, carers and other service providers to ensure the goals of the customers are met
  • Be part of a person centric organisation that values your input and is committed to making a difference to the lives of people living with disability.  
The requirements for this role include;
  • Cert III (3) in Disability Studies or above
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS plans 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in people management 
  • Ability to empower and mentor a team of long term employees
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and deal with complex behaviours and both physical and intellectual disability 
  • Ability to multitask and lead by example
  • Demonstrated experience of liaising with families on a day to day basis
  • Ability to work autonomously with a high level of integrity and compassion

  • Report in to an extremely experienced manager who is supportive yet trusting of you working autonomously 
  • Permanent full time position
