Operations Manager - OOHC and PSP

Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 per annum

This leadership position holds overall responsibility for the effective and efficient management of Permanency Support Program (PSP) and Out of Home Care (OOHC) services. Broadly, you will be responsible for meeting all responsibilities and requirements of associated funding bodies, regulatory bodies, accreditation bodies, as well as managing internal policies and procedures.

Important job criteria to consider
  • Relevant experience working with Children and Young People in the statutory care system under the PSP
  • Proven knowledge and working understanding of legislative requirements relating to PSP OOHC, including the NSW Standards for Statutory Out-of-Home Care, guidelines and accreditation requirements
  • Proven knowledge and working understanding of the roles and responsibilities under the reportable conduct legislation
  • Experience in the supervision of case work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, children and young people
  • Demonstrated understanding of the developmental needs of children and young people, families and parents who have experienced trauma
  • Experience in meaningful supervision of staff including performance 
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise, advocate with and maintain positive working relationships with relevant government and non- government professionals, community groups, services and agencies
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in community-based governance
  • Demonstrated high level of skill in preparation of essential care documents including, case plans, cultural plans, leaving care plans, court documents, ACA applications and related documentation, relating to the PSP OOHC sector
