About the Role
Barnardos is looking for a Learning & Development Co-ordinator based at Barnardos Head Office, Ultimo, Sydney on a fixed-term 12-month contract. This role reports into the Learning and Capability Manager and sits within the wider People and Culture Team. It offers the successful candidate Learning and Development experience and growth in a dedicated and supportive “for purpose” work environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Contributing to the development of a variety of blended learning solutions to meet organisational needs.
  • Providing administrative support to maintain our Learning Management System (LMS) and be the main point of contact for queries.
  • Regular Learning & Development reporting.
  • Coordinating and administrating our suite of learning programs.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of current training packages.
  • Undertaking research for content and continuous improvement in content delivery.
  • Ongoing support to our staff members completing learning and using our systems.
About You
To be the best you can be in this role, you will ideally have:
  • Social work tertiary qualification or 1-2 years related experience in the field of child protection, social work, case management or in a related field of Learning and Development, HR or Education
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating training programs, and online learning platforms.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications (experience with a LMS and e-learning systems will be highly regarded).
  • Experience in developing presentations
  • Demonstrated capacity to relate to people and their learning styles from a broad range of environments and to ensure that the learning experience is effective and engaging.
