The Role
Barnardos are looking for a full time, permanent Family Support Worker for the Family Support Program and Intensive Family Preservation Program based in Auburn, Sydney, NSW.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Family Support Worker will provide casework to at risk and vulnerable children and their families.

To be considered for roles with Barnardos you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number).
You will also need a valid NSW driving license and ability to work on occasion outside of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, when required to respond to a planned or unplanned event.
Salary
$65, 998 - $71, 345 base (including FBT packaging) + benefits + Super. Motor Vehicle packaging optional.

- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Social Welfare related discipline
- Knowledge of attachment, child development and parenting capacity
- 2 years’ experience working with children and young people and their families in a child protection context
- Demonstrated experience working with families experiencing domestic violence
- Demonstrated experience supporting families through restoration
- Demonstrated group work experience
