As a caseworker in the Intensive Family Preservation program you will work collaboratively with children, families and primary carers to provide the highest quality service with the aim of preventing removal or escalation within the child protection system.

This role will involve;
  • Manage a caseload of vulnerable families seeking intervention with the aim to reduce entry into the out-of-home care system
  • Ensure compliance with incident reporting and safety requirements.
  • Provide high-quality, flexible support to children and young people.
  • Develop comprehensive case plans, maintain timely notes, and collaborate with parents and relevant services.
  • Conduct engaging group sessions to enhance client outcomes.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and provide trauma-informed care for children and families.
  • Foster an engaged and positive team environment.
  • Embrace personal development opportunities, work respectfully with diverse clients and communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals.

They are looking for candidates with experience working with vulnerable families 

The requirements for this role include;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related field
  • Relevant experience within child protection or family-based programs with knowledge of domestic violence, child protection, housing issues and AOD
  • Ability to produce high-level written content and engage in difficult conversations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with your team and participate in a shared on on-call roster every 2 months
  • WWCC and Driver's License
