About the Role
Barnardos are looking for a Case Manager for a full time 12 month contract for the Youth and Family Program based in Cranebrook 2749 

The Youth and Family Case Manager will be responsible for;
  • Delivering case management services to young people and families at Bidwill Chifley Campus
  • Monitoring child protection concerns, consult and act in accordance with the NSW Children and Young Person’s (Care and Protection) Act, Mandatory Reporter Guide and Barnardos Australia “Reporting Child Abuse” Policy
  • Undertaking assessments of families referred to the program
  • Prepare, support and facilitate workshops to children, young people and parents
  • Constructively participate in meetings, supervision and annual performance reviews as required
  • Maintaining written and electronic records
  • Providing written reports to DCJ/ Children’s Court as required
  
About You
As a Youth and Family Case Manager, you will ideally have;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Science, Social Work, Community Services or a related field.
  • 2 years’ experience working with young people and their family in a child protection context
  • Knowledge of child protection issues with the capacity to identify when level of risk requires safety planning and statutory child protection intervention
  • Knowledge of Youth Homelessness and Youth Services within the Blacktown and Penrith LGA’s
  • Working knowledge of assertive case management practices for working with young people and families who may be unwilling to engage with support services
  • Demonstrated experience in working with families with multiple, complex needs and that may be experiencing acute crisis
  • Capacity to participate in an on-call roster, providing a 24/7 response to children, young people and families

Salary: Base $67,268 to $83,178 per annum plus leave loading plus superannuation.  Packaging available to receive $15,860 of your salary tax free. Motor vehicle packaging available on selected roles.
