About the Role
Barnardos are looking for a full-time permanent Program Manager for the Carer Recruitment, Assessment & Training Program based at the Barnardos ACT Together Centre in Bruce, Canberra, ACT.  Reporting to the Regional Manager – Carers & Contact, the Program Manager, Carer Recruitment, Assessment & Training will be responsible for;
  • Managing the Carer Recruitment, Assessment & Training Program who are responsible for sourcing and screening potential foster and kinship carers for Barnardos programs in the ACT
About You
To be successful in the Program Manager role, you will ideally have;
  • Relevant tertiary degree-level qualifications of protective support and service delivery to vulnerable children and young people and their families.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in OOHC
  • Working knowledge of relevant child protection and related legislation including knowledge of the Children and Young Person’s Act 2008 (ACT)
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with ACT Government Departments and other relevant government and non-government agencies
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality training programs in the field of children, families and young people
  • Experience in the performance management of staff
  • Effective management of budgets and regular financial reporting
  • A current driver’s license and the ability to work in a flexible manner, including after hours, when required.

Salary: Base $88,100 to $109,100 plus leave loading plus superannuation.  Packaging available to receive $15,860 of your salary tax free. Motor vehicle packaging available on selected roles.
  
To be considered for roles with Barnardos you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the ACT a Drivers History Check, Working with Vulnerable People Card and CYPS Check.
