Area Manager Out of Home Care

Salary: $115,000 - $120,000 per annum

Are you a forward thinking leader with experience in the Residential Out of Home Care space?

Our client is currently recruiting for a collaborative leader to oversee the operations across Intensive Therapeutic Care services in Orange. The Area Manager will be responsible for ensuring service standards, legislation and accreditation expectations are met and exceeded and holds primary responsibility for maintaining and building on relationships with key stakeholders.

This role will involve;
  • Coaching and collaborating with a team of Residential House Managers and Case Managers
  • Promoting and supporting the implementation of the organisations Therapeutic care model into operations
  • Facilitate supervision and undertake performance management activities of direct reports 
  • Oversee the consistent delivery of care for Children and Young People including reviewing and auditing files
  • Responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and participating in routine operational meetings with governing bodies
  • Develop a strong and collaborative relationship with the Senior Therapeutic Specialist to ensure risk management tools are developed and implemented through staff training
They are looking for candidates with leadership experience in the Residential Out of Home Care space. A strong understanding of Criminology is highly desired.

The requirements for this role include;
  • Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology or related field
  • Minimum 3 years leadership experience in a similar role
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated decision-making abilities
  • Functioning knowledge of the NSW Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 and Child Safe standards
