 About the Role
Barnardos are looking for a part-time (21 hours / 3 days per week) permanent Adoptions Applications Coordinator for the Adoptions Team based in Homebush, 2140

The Adoptions Applications Coordinator  will be responsible for;
  • Assisting the legal team with correspondence and the tracking of court processes and workflow;
  • Ensuring adoption spreadsheets and statistics reporting remain accurate and current;
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide and obtain information, evidence and court documents in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Coordinating all aspects of adoption-related meetings (including circulation of materials, accurate minute-taking and ensuring the efficient facilitation of meetings and post-meeting procedures); and
  • Preparing, sending and receiving correspondence for adoption applications.
  • Reviewing Applications to Adopt received from proposed adoptive parents and identifying issues and discrepancies;
  • Liaising with casework teams in relation to allocation and progress of adoption matters to the legal team, including monitoring the distribution and completion of certain documents required to filed in the NSW Supreme Court;
  
About You
As a Adoptions Applications Coordinator,  you will ideally have;
  • Previous experience as a paralegal, high- level executive assistant or high-level administrator.
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Welfare or related field (Desirable)
  • High level of computer literacy, including an excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook and skills in managing spreadsheets, data collation and analysis
  • Ability to accurately review and amend a large number of documents
  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster good working relationships with internal and external service providers
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and manage a high workload whilst adhering to identified timeframes
  • High level communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Highly developed organisational skills and reliability
  • Strong problem solving skills

Salary: Base $77,592 to $83,178 (pro rata) per annum plus leave loading plus superannuation.  Packaging available to receive $15,860 of your salary tax free. Motor vehicle packaging available on selected roles.

To be considered for roles with Barnardos you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the ACT a Drivers History Check, Working with Vulnerable People Card and CYPS Check.
