Aboriginal Family Support Child Protection Specialist

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum

Our client is a community-based organisation which receives funding and referrals from different government bodies to provide free services to the community. These services include but not limited to; Family Support and Counselling services.

The Family Support Team offers information and assistance on parenting, family relationships, referrals, budgeting, education and child behavior where the Specialist would provide assistance in the form of counselling and case management as well as in-home assistance.

This role will involve;
  • Assist families where dependent children are involved in a family setting where there is crisis and stress
  • Offer information and assistance on parenting and family relationship 
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to provide suitable referral pathways for clients 
  • Maintain regular communication and case management of children and families to ensure best outcomes 
They are looking for candidates with experience working with vulnerable families within Child Protection and Family Support. 

The requirements for this role include;
  • Aboriginality
  • Qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology or relevant 
  • Work experience in case management 
  • Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve best outcomes for families 
  • WWCC and Drivers License
