Property Officer

Location: Sydney
Area: Parramatta & Western Suburbs
Worktype: Full Time
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per annum

Our Client, a leading Housing Provider,  is currently recruiting for an experienced Property Officer to join their team based in Western Sydney.
  
This role will involve;
  • Deliver on assigned activities and meet KPI’s
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of policies and procedures within the scope of the position
  • Deliver end to end property and tenancy management services
  • Respond to incoming contact from residents, owners and landlords in a timely manner
  • Assess tenancy applications
  • Tenancy inspections
  • Address repair and maintenance requests and undertake incident reports
  • Coordinate end of tenancies and manage evictions and vacancies
  • Represent the organisation at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT)
  • Take appropriate proactive and responsive action to achieve sustainable tenancies
  • Effectively manage rent review and arrears recovery, former resident debt, water charges, non- rent debt, vacancies and bonds
  • Delivery of excellent customer service
  • Managing disputes and complaints professionally and to an effective resolution



The requirements for this role include;
  • Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) or a related field (desirable)
  • Certificate of Registration (desirable, must be willing to obtain)
  • Current Driver License with the right to drive in NSW4.
  • Demonstrated experience in residential property and tenancy management
  • Knowledge of NRAS scheme and Affordable Housing (desirable)
  • Experience using REST  or  a  tenancy  management  system  and  the  ability  to  confidently  use  software, internet, devices and workplace technologies
  • Demonstrated application of effective and appropriate communication skills at a high level, including written and verbal skills and the ability to listen, interpret and convey information
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and organise own workload, establish priorities
  • Proven experience in delivering  customer  service  excellence  and  a  commitment  to  building  supportive, collaborative and ethical client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member and commitment to build a supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Possession of a compliant Criminal Check or willingness to obtain.
  

Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
