Youth Care Coordinator Provisional Psychologist

Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 per annum

Our client is seeking a Youth Care Coordinator to join their team in Narrabri, a scenic location that has a lively community atmosphere with trendy cafes, restaurants and a state-of-the-art theatre complex. The Youth Care Coordinator will report to the Clinical Lead and be responsible for the delivery of recovery-oriented counselling and psychology services to young people aged between 12-25 years.

This role will involve;
  • Identify early mental health, AOD and primary health concerns (not limited to) presentations in young people through set assessments and utilising a strengths-based approach, recovery framework
  • Administer specialist psychological assessments including specialised psychometric assessment, structured observations and clinical interviews
  • Formulate treatment plans that are reflect individual needs, based upon an analysis of complex factors contributing to presentations
  • Deliver evidence based psychological treatments, monitor outcomes, create risk management plans
The requirements for this role include;
  • Degree qualification in psychology
  • Eligible for AHPRA registration as a Provisional Psychologist OR general AHPRA Psychologist registration
  • Unrestricted driver license and ability to travel during working day
  • Experience in the delivery or willingness to deliver both individual and group counselling and programs including social connection activities with young people
Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
