About the role;
  • Deliver best practice, evidence-based intervention for clients in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner. This will include clinic-based appointments and home visits.
  • Provide support to a range of individuals across the lifespan including children, adolescents, adults and elderly people.
  • Provide support to people with a range of presentations including people with intellectual disabilities, mental health, trauma, dual diagnosis, substance abuse, domestic violence and physical disabilities (without intellectual disability).
  • Provide support to individuals from CALD backgrounds and engage in continual upskilling and professional development to ensure culturally sensitive supports are provided.
  • Develop evidence based Positive Behaviour Support plans to support people with disability and their support networks to reach their individual goals in adherence with Quality and Safeguards standards.
  • Use data to conduct functional analysis to determine the function of behaviours

The requirements for this role include;
  • Qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social work or relevant industry
  •  AASW, AHPRA registration or registration with relevant industry body
  • Must have experience in writing and implementing behaviour support plans under NDIS
  • Experience with Restrictive Practice
  • Experienced in functional behaviour assessment
  • Providing evidence based interventions including therapy, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, narrative exposure therapy.
  • Working with challenging behaviours, personality disorders, chronic pain and disabilities
  • Car and unrestricted licence
Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
