Senior Psychologist- Aboriginal Service

Location: Sydney
Area: South West & M5 Corridor
Worktype: Full Time
Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 per annum

Our client is seeking a Senior Psychologist to work within a multidisciplinary team. They will be required to supervise and undertake trauma informed assessments, therapeutic support and related counselling to the clients within this service.

This role will involve;
  • Conduct psychological, emotional and cognitive assessments on children and young people
  • Utilise an evidence-based approach to provide counselling and therapy to children and young people who are associated with the OOHC programme
  • Undertake and coordinate the psychology team in the comprehensive assessment processes that assist with the development and review of the Behaviour Management Plans
  • Develop and guide clinical staff as necessary in providing psycho-social training to foster carers and casework staff, with a focus on but not limited to attachment, trauma and the positive behaviour management of children and young people
Requirements;
  • Bachelor qualification in Psychology
  • Full AHPRA Registration
  • Approved primary supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Unrestricted drivers license and willingness to drive
  • Experience in OOHC and various psychology theoretical and therapeutic frameworks
  • Awareness of the issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families and children

Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
