Key responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing evidence informed therapy for children and young adults on the autism spectrum and/or other developmental disabilities within the NDIS environment.
  • Manage a caseload working with ASD level 2 & 3 clients.
  • Provide services outside the clinic to individualised school, home, and community-based programs.
  • Conduct a variety of assessments such as Diagnostic assessments of intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder, Adaptive Functioning assessments, Intelligence and achievement assessments, Mental Health Assessment
  • Provide support through individualised therapy and group therapies.

Essential Criteria
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology and 2+ years’ experience working in your field.
  • Membership with Australian Psychological Society & current AHPRA registration.
  • Demonstrated experience with autistic children/young people & complex mental health presentations.
  • Innovative, flexible approach to psychology intervention, implementing evidence-based practice.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation & policy/procedures in relation to disability and child protection.
  • Able to work in diverse role across multiple settings (e.g., Clinic, Community and School based).
  • Current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & NDIS Orientation Certificates.
  • Australian Driver’s License, access to a fully insured vehicle and willingness to travel as required.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development and learning.
  • Experience working with CALD communities, parents and within not-for-profit sector is desirable.

Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
