Behaviour Support Practitioner

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum
Our client is continuing to grow, they are looking to expand their Behaviour Support division by having skilled Proficient and above level Practitioners join the team in multiple states. This role involves developing and delivering evidence-based support plans for NDIS participants and their families/carers. The role requires working within a positive behaviour support framework to help achieve meaningful goals and strategies. It also involves building the knowledge and capacity of support networks and working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist NDIS clients, families, and caregivers in identifying needs through personalized assessments and planning.
- Evaluate, create, and implement evidence-based support plans in a complex support environment.
- Develop goal-oriented support plans using a positive behaviour support framework to eliminate restrictive practices
- Tailor plans to reflect each client’s goals, interests, and strengths.
- Enhance the knowledge, skills, and strengths of those who support clients in everyday life
- Work collaboratively and mentor less experienced practitioners.
- Act as an advocate and role model for best practices

- Confirmed by NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Proficient level Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Holds a relevant degree-level qualification
- Has experience in report writing
- Demonstrates excellent time management and organizational skills to manage a diverse caseload
- Genuinely passionate about working in the disability sector
Additional Information
- A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
