Level 2 IT Support Officer

About the Role
Barnardos are looking for a full-time 12-18 month contract Level 2 IT Support Officer for the Barnardos Finance & Corporate Team based in Ultimo, 2007.

The Level 2 IT Support Officer will be responsible for;
  • Providing onsite and remote support to our staff based across NSW and ACT.
  • Ensuring assigned tickets are promptly addressed and resolved in accordance with team Service Levels
  • Ensuring incident tickets are regularly updated with progress and the quality of update in commensurate with the expectations placed on an IT Support Officer
  • Working to identify and address root cause of the incident to stop repeat incidents from occurring
  • Installing, maintaining, and configuring network devices to documented SOE standards (laptop, desktop, mobile phone, voice services)
  • Setting up and decommission end user accounts, as required.
  • Assisting train end users in use of technology products
  • Assisting in installing and configuring servers, networking and other IT equipment where needed.  
About You
As a Level 2 IT Support Officer, you will ideally have;
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Level 1 or Level 2 IT Support
  • TAFE diploma or University degree in technology, computer science, Networking or information security or equivalent industry experience or certifications such as COMPTIA-A+, MCP or MCSE.
  • Demonstrated Customer Service experience in a previous role, ideally in a technical capacity such as IT Support or MSP
  • Experience in a LVL1-LVL2 IT support role, triaging and handling complicated technical issues,
  • Knowledge of ITIL service methodology (ITIL Foundations certification).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity risks and management
  • Desktop support knowledge. You must be familiar with end user support and administration through Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and o365 Administration to be considered for this role.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange coupled with generalist networking skills around wireless and networking IP configuration
  • A broad knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall, backup systems and software
  • Current driver's license

Salary: Base $65,000 - $70,000 per annum plus leave loading plus superannuation.  Packaging available to receive $15,860 of your salary tax free. Motor vehicle packaging available on selected roles.

To be considered for roles with Barnardos you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance and current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the ACT a Drivers History Check, Working with Vulnerable People Card and CYPS Check.
