Speech Pathologist - Team Leader

Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 per annum

Our client is seeking a Speech Pathologist to assist with the development of the speech therapy department of the telehealth services they provide. You will be an experienced speech pathologist with sound clinical experience that has worked across diverse settings ideally with an exposure to across the lifespan clients. We are seeking a person that has natural business acumen and a passion for developing new systems of approach.
You can develop organisational competencies and guidelines, ensure operational effectiveness and build strong partnerships within and beyond the organisation. The successful clinician will also hold a small clinical caseload, providing assessment and interventions for a range of clinical areas.

This role will involve;
  • Develop and maintain an up to date and in depth understanding of NDIS legislation, rules and regulations and how this applies to the delivery of allied health services.
  • In collaboration with the Head of Allied Health, develop and implement
  • policies, procedures and standards to ensure best practice and is financially viable under NDIS.
  • Oversee that your team is acting in accordance with the service delivery model and monitor Work, Health & Safety issues and reportable incidents.
  • Develop, implement and participate in a process of regular clinical supervision and processes for continuing professional development and upskilling of team and students.
  • Keep up to date with new developments and relevant trends within the clinical area.
  • Deliver training and development activities on allied health services and processes to relevant staff across the business.
  • Maintain a small caseload 
Requirements;
  • Bachelor or Masters qualification in Speech Pathology
  • SPA Registration
  • Interested in Telehealth
  • At least 5+ years practical experience in providing speech pathology services in a disability setting.
  • Experience delivering training or therapy programs to participants, their families and carers as well as training and support to Speech Pathologists
  • ability to grow and develop a telehealth division 
Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
