Speech Pathologist - Early Intervention

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum

Our Client provides quality early childhood intervention & therapy services to Children (0-12) with developmental delay and disability. They work in an inclusive way that allows for capacity building while engaging meaningful participation with the participants to work towards functional outcomes that lead to independence for all.
  
Responsibilities of the role:
  • Take responsibility for a delegated caseload and use a multi-disciplinary approach to assists clients to meet their needs, goals, objectives and aspirations
  • The Speech Pathologist will be responsible for providing early intervention support to children and their families in collaboration with the service delivery team.  
  • The Speech Pathologist may be providing support as a Key Worker or as a consultant on the transdisciplinary team.
  • They will work closely with the Team Leader to achieve the goals of the organisation including; effectively developing goals and measuring outcomes with families and ensuring that we adhere to our commitment to families to provide children with the hours of service they are funded for by NDIS.
  • 25% Telehealth requirement within the caseload
The requirements for this role include:
  • Degree qualified in Speech Pathology – applications from newly qualified therapists are welcomed
  • Current, unrestricted registration with SPA
  • Early intervention and/or disability experience or willingness to work with this cohort
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a billable model and be accountable for daily activities
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in using play-based early childhood intervention strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop functional goals with a family and build capacity in the child’s networks in order to achieve the goals in the child’s natural environments (e.g. home, school and in the community)

Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
