Quality and Safeguard Practice Lead (RN)

Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 per annum

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to work as the Quality & Safeguard Practice Lead.

As a leader of the Community Living Program, you will:
  • Play a key role in ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with NDIS, Aged Care Standards and Child Safe Policies.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of service delivery to our clients, ensuring that our strategic objectives are implemented and that our business is compliant with NDIS commission requirements related to best practice, reporting incidents, and educating and supporting leadership and support workers.
We are looking for a candidate with:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Registered Nursing and AHPRA Registration
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in mental health and NDIS, working with people with a disability
  • In-depth experience in NDIS Quality and Safeguarding requirements
  • Experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team and in providing leadership and supervision
  • Experience in managing budgets
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of contemporary theory, practice, and its application to the areas of disability and mental health
  • Knowledge of WH&S principles
  • Experienced in Case and File Reviews as well as Risk and Incident reviews
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, demonstrating clarity and conciseness in a convincing manner. Listens effectively
  • Experienced in engaging and consulting with a range of stakeholders including Families, service users and NDIS
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Engage and consult with a range of stakeholders including participants, their families, support coordinators, care managers, staff in other programs, management and other teams, NDIS, ACQSC, and DCJ.
The requirements for this role include;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Registered Nursing and AHPRA Registration
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current drivers’ licence
  • NDIS Worker Screen Check.
  • NSW Working with Children Check
  • Intermediate to Advanced IT skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products
  • High level of attention to detail and experience in responding to high risk disclosures
  • Experience in Case Manager Training and capability uplift, Incidental Supervision
  • Mental Health accreditation (desirable but not essential)
Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children, being fully vaccinated against COVID 19 and undertaking a National police checks.
