Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 per annum
Our client is looking for an Occupational Therapist to work across the disability sector, servicing a mixed caseload. You will be a valued and supported member of the team where you will help people develop new skills and build a brighter future through the deliver of therapy services that promote positive mental, physical and emotional health; social and economic participation.

- Complete person-centred occupational therapy assessments, using a multidisciplinary approach to assist clients to meet their needs, goals, objectives and aspirations
- Plan, coordinate and implement a range of creative and personalised solutions to assist people to improve their independence through the delivery of therapy services to children and adults with physical, intellectual and/or psychosocial disabilities
- Decide which therapy approaches will meet the person’s needs: remediation, rehabilitation, enablement, prevention, and/or early intervention
- Tailor services to maximise outcomes; considering the person’s family and social life, everyday activities and routines
- Assist in the development of internal Therapeutic teams practice framework
- Degree qualified in Occupational Therapy – applications from newly qualified therapists are welcomed
- Current, unrestricted registration with AHPRA
- Experience undertaking evidenced based clinical assessments and providing therapeutic interventions to meet client needs
- Experience in a community health and/or disability services environment with a focus on people with complex care needs is desirable
- An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and the Quality & Safeguarding Commission would be a huge advantage
- Knowledge of strengths-based practice, as well as family and person-centred approaches
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices
- Have pride in your work and a passion for working with clients, colleagues, families and others to find innovative and practical solutions that allow clients to realise their human potential
- Unrestricted Drivers Licence
- A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
