Accommodation and Day Program Manager

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum


Our Client, a well known and much loved disability organisation, is currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader/House Manager in Canberra.
  

This role will involve;

  • Managing & mentoring a team of 20 support workers across Day programs and two separate houses
  • Supporting participants with both intellectual and physical disability
  • Administration and management of all participants medication
  • Building relationships with clients, families and carers to ensure participants goals are being met
  • Rostering & timesheets and all administrative duties
  • Coaching and developing a team through hands on management, good communication, interpersonal skills and peer support
  • Working with and managing the budgets of the house
The requirements for this role include;
  • Working With Vulnerable People Registration (ACT), WWCC check (NSW) and other clearances as required)
  • Qualification in Disability, Human Services or significant relevant experience in a similar role
  • • Extensive experience in the disability sector and knowledge of the NDIS
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Demonstrated experience of managing Support Workers
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working with and an understanding of the complex needs of people living with physical or psychosocial disability 
  • Ability to coach and mentor a team of support workers and lead by example
  • Working knowledge of all current WHS and Compliance
  • Ability to develop and facilitate person centred plans
