Our Client, a leading Family Service Provider, is currently recruiting for an experienced Family & Domestic Violence worker to join their team based in Sydney's Southern suburbs.

This role will involve:
- Contacting clients referred to the service
- Accepting referrals from government agencies and non-government services
- Building good working relationships with stakeholders
- Conducting assessments and creating safety action plans
- Liaising with clients in relation to Safety Action Plans
- Making referrals to a range of service providers to assist clients with their ongoing needs
- Attending court on AVO list days to support clients
The requirements for this role include:
- Minimum cert 3 or diploma in community services, mental or another relevant field
- Understanding and 1 year experience of Domestic & Family Violence as a case manager or intake worker
- Knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice response to domestic and family violence
- Passion for working with Aboriginal communities and ability build awareness of domestic and family violence
- Excellent communication and networking skills due to phone based and community visiting elements of role
- Demonstrated knowledge in trauma-informed practice
- Full working right and ability 38 hours per week
- WWCC
- Current driving license
Additional Information
- A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
