Case Manager Fostering (PSP)

Our Client is currently recruiting for an experienced Case Manager Fostering (PSP) to join their team based in Macarthur Region, NSW
This role will involve;

Our client supports and guidances from the PSP Leadership team– Children & Youth Services (C&YS) the Case Manager will be responsible for the provision of quality case management, supporting children and foster carers on a long-term pathway, support and advocacy services to children and young people (aged 0 – 18 years) who live with foster carers in short-term, long-term or respite foster care placements throughout the Macarthur, Southern Highlands, Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions.

The PSP Case Manager promotes the safety, permanency and well-being of children and young people and will be responsible for implementing and supporting children entering emergency care, children and young people
who are being restored to birth family, move to a Guardianship or Adoption pathway or who remain in PSP when other permanency options are assessed as not being not viable.

The requirements for this role include;

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Welfare, Behavioural or Social Sciences or other relevant discipline
• Sound knowledge of child and adolescent development, parenting practices, effects of family violence, trauma, abuse and neglect
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of child protection and out of home care policy, legislation and standards
• Previous experience in providing high quality advocacy, support and case management services for clients with a focus on out of home care and permanency pathways
• Training and or experience in Restoration
• Knowledge, skills and experience conducting psycho-social assessments of client needs and developing and achieving care plan goals. Demonstrated high level organizational skills and experience effectively
managing face to face client work, administrative duties, and crises in an ever-changing environment

Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
