Case Manager - Domestic Violence

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of women facing complex challenges? Our client, a leading organization in the field, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Case Coordinator to join their dynamic team based in an empowering and supportive environment.

As a Case Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of women, both with and without children, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will play a crucial role in providing safe and secure crisis and transitional accommodation, as well as outreach support, while offering comprehensive case management to address their diverse health and social needs.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Science, Health, or Psychology, or a relevant diploma in fields such as Community Services, AOD, or Mental Health.
  • Registration with the ACT Working with Vulnerable People and a satisfactory National Police Check.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to drive.
Your qualifications and experience should include:
  • 3+ years of sector experience (with a Bachelor's qualification) or 5+ years of relevant sector experience (with a Diploma qualification).
  • Previous experience working with homeless women with complex needs, including alcohol and drug dependencies, mental health concerns, sexual assault, domestic violence, incarceration, and women from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to work effectively with challenging behaviors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
In addition to these requirements, your personal qualities and behavioral traits are key to your success in this role. You should be able to communicate with influence, inspire and empower others, and adapt your communication style to different audiences.

Please note that this position may require occasional out-of-hours and on-call work, and our client operates a smoke-free workplace.

You must possess a current driver's license and a clear Working with Vulnerable People registration.
