Aged and Disability Services Director

abrs is proud to be partnering exclusively with Riverwood Community Centre in their search for an Aged and Disability Services Director. 

Riverwood Community Centre is a not for profit community based neighbourhood centre in the heart of Riverwoods diverse community . RCC supports change for individuals families and community groups through a wide range of programs . They are looking for a Director of Aged Care and Disability  to lead and manage across all disability aged care and services teams and be a important part of the senior management team.

The Role:
  • Report in to a positive, experienced , down to earth CEO who is involved and passionate about the organisation, staff and community
  • Work in collaboration with the Board and Executive team daily to grow, develop and improve services and outcomes for the community in the Riverwood area
  • Deliver effective programs and activities by connecting and collating feedback around the needs of the community or client group 
  • Ensure programs are delivered with a person centred approach and a high degree of social inclusion 
  • Oversee continuous improvement and all compliance and WHS in your specific areas of responsibility 
  • Manage all data collection , surveys and regular reports in order to meet the funding agreement requirements 
  • Contribute to writing new tenders application and grants and work with the board to ensure it is deliverable 
  • Participation in the running and organisation of significant RCC events

Essential Criteria:
  1. A qualification relating to Human Services (e.g Social Work) or Business  related would be beneficial but not essential
  2. Demonstrated experience in the Aged Care or Disability sector, where you have led and developed a team through periods of change in a positive and inclusive manner 
  3. Strong knowledge, understanding and engagement experience in working Communities preferably with CALD backgrounds. if you speak a second language please let us know!
  4. Excellent skills in completed a regular reporting to the Board of directors and funding organisations.
  5. Previous experience in Aged Care with an understanding of aged care standards and reforms would be advantageous but not essential 
  6. An ability to oversee P&L as well as an understanding of managing a budget
  7. Proven experience in identifying, recruiting and leading volunteers, student placement and community based groups.
  8. Skills and experience in writing tenders and grants would be an added bonus as this would enable the organisation to grow their programming.
  9. Current working With Children Check and willingness to undergo a Police Check is essential.
